Gentle skincare for dry, sensitive, or irritated skin
For skin that reacts quickly, is dry, or feels chronically sensitive, product choice is especially important. Fragrances, alcohol, and harsh ingredients can further disrupt already stressed skin. In this collection, you’ll find only fragrance-free, alcohol-free plant oils and hydrosols without synthetic additives — products with the shortest possible ingredient list.
Important: the products in this collection are cosmetic skincare only. They are not intended as a substitute for medical advice or treatment. If skin complaints persist, are severe, or unexplained, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist or doctor.
Castor oil for dry, sensitive skin
Castor oil is traditionally used for dry, reactive skin because of its film-forming properties, which help limit moisture loss. It is always used diluted — never pure on sensitive skin — mixed with jojoba oil in a 1 to 2 ratio. You can read more about its use in our blog about what castor oil is good for.
Jojoba oil: the mildest choice
Jojoba oil is the most broadly tolerated oil in the range. Its wax ester composition matches human sebum, it contains no fragrance, and it is almost never a trigger for reactive skin. For people who react to almost all products, jojoba oil is the safest starting point.
Other gentle options
- Hemp seed oil – lightweight, high in linoleic acid, non-comedogenic
- Bulgarian rose water – alcohol-free hydrosol as a gentle intermediary step
Always do a patch test with a new oil: apply a small amount to the inside of your wrist and wait 24 hours. You can read more about gentle care for sensitive or irritated skin in our blog about sensitive skin and ingredients for sensitive skin.
