Care for combination skin – one routine for two zones

Combination skin combines a oilier T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) with drier or normal cheeks. The sebaceous glands are more concentrated in the T-zone, which is why that area shines faster or shows impurities, while the cheeks feel normal or dry. The key is a lightweight oil that won’t clog the T-zone but still provides enough care for the cheeks. Read more about this skin type in our blog about what is combination skin.

Which oil for combination skin?

Jojoba oil is the most logical choice for combination skin: light enough for the T-zone and nourishing enough for the drier areas. Hemp seed oil is a good alternative. For the cheeks, an extra drop of argan oil can be added in the evening for extra nourishment. A weekly clay mask on the T-zone helps regulate excess sebum without over-degreasing the rest of the face.
