Argan oil
Buy organic argan oil – 100% pure and cold-pressed
Argan oil is a precious plant oil extracted from the nuts of the argan tree (Argania spinosa), which is endemic to the Souss Valley in Morocco. In Berber tradition, argan oil has been used for centuries as a nourishing oil for skin and hair. Our organic argan oil is cold-pressed, free from solvents and synthetic additives, and is produced by women’s cooperatives in the Agadir region.
What is argan oil used for?
Argan oil is widely used as a nourishing oil for the face, hair, and body. It contains vitamin E, oleic acid, and linoleic acid, and has a light to medium texture that absorbs well without leaving a greasy film. The oil is suitable for daily use during the day and at night.
Argan oil for the face
On the face, argan oil is used as a daily or evening oil that supports the skin barrier and keeps the skin supple. It works well for dry, normal, or mature skin. Apply one to two drops to slightly damp skin after cleansing. Read more about use in our blog on using facial oil.
Argan oil for hair and scalp
Argan oil is known as one of the most widely used hair oils. It is used for shine, suppleness, and the care of dry or damaged ends. On the scalp, it can be used as a pre-wash scalp treatment. "Moroccan oil" or "argan oil" informally refers to the same oil. Read more in our blog on argan oil for hair.
Argan oil for body and nails
On the body, argan oil is applied to still-damp skin directly after showering. On dry areas such as elbows and knees, it gives the skin a supple feel. On cuticles, a small amount helps with hydration and suppleness.
Is argan oil good for your hair?
Argan oil is one of the most widely used oils in hair care, also known as "liquid gold" or Moroccan hair oil. It is traditionally used for dry, frizzy, or damaged hair and adds shine and suppleness to the hair shaft. One to two drops through the ends work on wet or dry hair.
