Organic Shea butter
Our unrefined shea is a vegetable butter extracted from the nuts of the shea tree. The shea tree is also called the butyrospermum parkii. Furthermore, this tree is also called the shea tree. The shea tree is common in West Africa and the local people call it the tree of life. This is due to the restorative capacity and the nurturing properties. The nut of the shea is harvested by hand with the utmost care.
Our shea butter comes from Ghana, from raw shea butter. Shea butter (shea butter, shea butter) is packed with vitamins A, E and F. Vitamin A stimulates cell division and the production of collagen. Collagen is an important protein in skin and hair. Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant and supports the moisture balance of the skin. The vitamin F helps in moisturizing the skin. It makes the skin and hair soft and supple. Furthermore, the many essential fatty acids in shea butter, in combination with the vitamins, ensure that the regenerative capacity and elasticity of the skin improves.
The butter has a fine texture and a nutty smell. The moisturizing effect of the butter makes dry skin silky soft again. Do you have damaged hair? Shea butter also offers a solution in that case. Your hair will shine like never before!
Body butters
You can also use shea butter as the main ingredient for delicious homemade body butters and shampoo bars. It is easy to mix with, for example, jojoba oil or avocado oil. Check out our blog post here. After all, shea butter is also a good product to use after a face mask. For example, a facemask with:
Some face masks result in dry skin or itchy skin. The shea butter then ensures a soft and supple skin.
Use
Use shea butter
In this overview we explain how you can use shea butter. in using shea butter there is no difference between refined shea butter and unrefined shea butter. Warm a little of the pure shea butter between your palms and spread the butter in a thin layer on:
- the dry skin
- the itchy skin
- in the hair
You will notice that immediately after applying, the skin feels soft and the elasticity of the skin improves. You can use shea butter as a natural conditioner for your personal care. Use the butter as often as you like. Preferably apply the butter to the skin after showering to optimize spreadability. Shea butter has a nutty scent. Don't like the smell? Then you can always do this with a few drops of essential oils. For example, use the following fragrances to make the smell of the unrefined shea more pleasant:
- ylang ylang
- tea tree
- sweet orange
- aloe vera
- pink grapefruit
Refined shea butter
If you prefer not to add essential oil, choose our refined shea butter. Refined shea butter has been stripped of color and odor but has the restorative capacity and caring properties of raw shea butter. Another natural butter similar to shea butter is mango butter. Mango butter actually has the quality of shea butter. It has the same caring properties as refined shea butter and unrefined shea butter. Mango butter is equally good for dry skin, itchy skin and sensitive skin. Mango butter, unlike shea butter, has an almost completely neutral odor.
Shea butter, whether refined shea butter or unrefined shea butter, is a good addition to personal care. The shea also fits perfectly into your skincare routine. Use the butter, for example, after using a toner: we recommend natural witch hazel!
